Digital Guard: Mastering Cybersecurity Basics in the February Camp

Mid-February 2025 at the "Rolyada" hotel was dedicated to a topic that is no longer just a skill, but a means of survival in the information age. Our latest IT-Camp "Cybersecurity Basics" brought together the children of our Heroes — those whose parents are in captivity, have returned home, or are missing in action. During these challenging times, teaching children to protect their boundaries — both physical and digital — is our priority mission.

Cyber Hygiene as a Superpower Today, every click matters. Throughout the shift, we took a deep dive into the world of cybersecurity. The children learned to recognize phishing, create unbreakable passwords, and understand social engineering algorithms. We discussed how to protect personal data and avoid falling victim to online manipulations. These were not just lectures, but interactive sessions where every participant could feel like a "white-hat hacker" guarding safety. We believe that understanding how the digital world works gives these children confidence in tomorrow’s world.

The Connection of Ages and Psychological Resilience Our training was traditionally intertwined with cultural development and mental health care. A visit to the Museum of Earth's History helped the children look at global processes from the perspective of millennia. This allows them to realize that any chaos can be organized if one has knowledge and will.

Psychological games held a special place in the program. Through game mechanics, our psychologists helped children process complex emotions, build trust, and develop critical thinking. This is critically important for children living in a state of constant waiting and stress. The ability to distinguish truth from fake in a game helps them be more resilient in real life.

Energy for New Achievements And, of course, what is a holiday without fun? The pool at "Rolyada" became the epicenter of joy, where the water washed away fatigue and tension. We see how these children grow stronger every day, uniting around shared values and knowledge. "Cybersecurity Basics" is not just about computers. It is about the secure future we are building together; it is about the resilience passed from parents to children in every line of code and every step toward knowledge.
